What are your words saying each day? Are they positive, encouraging, motivating or negative, doubting, bashing words? The bible says, “Death and Life are in the power of the tongue”. So let your words speak life to others and most important to yourself. Don’t let your words kill your dream or the dream of someone else. Being positive is something I work on every day, but I must admit sometime negative words still come out. But, I say as long as you keep trying, I’m sure at some point it will become easier and effortlessly.
I am amazed at all the negative words that I read and hear about, especially on social media, but I try to quickly release them, and not spend so much time, on social media or around negative people. I know it can be hard to constantly speak and stay positive, when everything or everyone around you is so negative, but I will never give up trying. I have made a few changes in my life that has helped me eliminate some of the negativity, I receive. I have drastically reduced tv watching, and hardly ever watch the news, limit my time on social media, and still try to limit my interaction, with people that are negative all the time.
I would like to challenge you and myself to speak positive for a week. You can start your week whenever you decide. Remember the saying, “if you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything at all”. Let’s see if we can do this for a week and if it improves our lives and/or relationships, and get us on the road to forming a new habit of speaking positive, to ourselves and to others. Please, let me know how your week goes.
