Yeah, it’s a new season!!! However, I’m a little sad to see summer go, because I will miss the long, beautiful, warm, sunny days. And as mentioned before, there is something about summer that just puts you in relax, leisure mode. Good-bye summer and hello autumn!!!
As the new season is among us, we can see the change it brings: daylight hours are shorten, cooler weather, leaves change to beautiful colors and eventually fall off the trees. As we embrace the changes a new season brings, we should also embrace changes in our lives. But as we all know, most of us hate change, because it forces us out of comfort zones. I’m starting a new practice of learning to embrace change as well as create change in my life. We need change in order to learn and grow. You should never stop learning and growing.
In order to be our best selves, change must be a part of our lives. We all get comfortable doing the same thing, eating the same foods, hanging out with the same people, etc (I know I do because it is comfortable). But to be our best selves and live our best lives, we need to incorporate change in our lives, and embrace change when it comes along. The change you create doesn’t have to be some big or major thing. I know that change brings fear of the unknown, so start small. Remember what FEAR stands for: False Evidence Appearing Real. So just go ahead and do it. At least you would have a new experience that enhances your learning about yourself and possibly others.
Toast to the new season and embracing/creating change in our lives, in order to be our selves.
I would love to hear how you embrace or create change in your life.
