Sometimes, it takes having a conversation with a complete stranger in order, to get your stuff together and/or hear some good ole truth about yourself.
Well, it did for me anyway. Having conversations with a complete stranger has helped me to stop making excuses, dive deeper and uncover limiting beliefs, push myself to get clear about what I really want, and most of all get called out on my bullsh*t (stuff that my family and/or close friends didn't/wouldn't bring up). Hence, having a conversation with a stranger, someone who doesn't have a history (bias) with you, like family/friends.
Let me just say that a couple of the people weren't total strangers but we really didn't know each other. They are coaches: one I've worked with and the other one I would like to work with, in the future.
The funny thing is that I needed to hear everything that they said, especially if I wanted to be my best self and live my best life. The caveat is you must be open to the feedback and not take it personally, but instead look at it as opportunity for growth.
I could have easily gotten mad and shut myself off from receiving what I needed to hear and/or took it personally and let it continue to keep me stuck. You must get ego, pride and feelings out of the way.
